Moringa is known as Mulunggay, or the Miracle Tree, as it is known and used around the world as a superfood.
Not only is it rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, essential amino acids, iron, and protein, but it's widely used to increase breastmilk production in nursing mothers. It's one of the main ingredients in our Nursing Tea and Nursing Tincture.
The Ayurvedic system of medicine associates it with the “cure or prevention of about 300 different diseases”. It's great for anyone with nutritional deficiencies.
Please see Moringa Information under Additional Information (below) or Articles & Information to see the list of properties for this very impressive herb.
If buying for children, we recommend choosing the non-alcohol version.
NOTE: Moringa should not be used by women who are trying to conceive, as it may prevent implantation of the fertilized egg. As a precaution, it should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.
This is a Certified Organic product. Read what that means HERE.
Certified Organic Moringa Leaf. The regular tincture is extracted in Certified Organic grape alcohol and the non-alcohol version is extracted in Certified Organic vegetable glycerine and distilled water. All Herb Lore tinctures are non-GMO and are gluten-free, and are never, ever tested on animals.
Use two (2) droppersful (squeezes) of the tincture three times a day.
If taking Moringa to increase breastmilk production, an increase should be seen within 12-24 hours.
If the desired results are not achieved with this level, you may increase how often you take it (increase to 4 times a day, then 5 and so on, as needed) or increase the number of droppersful (squeezes) taken at a time.
There are no rules - its ok to do whatever you find works for you. Some women find that taking two droppersful of the tincture each time they sit down to nurse or pump does the trick for them, and this is perfectly fine to do.
If too much of the herb is taken, over-fullness or engorgement may occur. If so, simply reduce the amount of herb taken until the right balance is found for you.
For children as a nutritional supplement: use the age-appropriate dose as suggested in the Children's Dosage Guide 2-3 times daily.
